Platz 1:144 Kawanishi Shiden Kai

This is the exquisite N1K2-J Shiden Kai kit from Platz. My goal here take this further than an out-of-the-box build by scratch building a cockpit, dropping the flaps, and repositioning the flight control surfaces.

The kit contains sprues and decals for two complete aircraft so it lends itself toward a project like this, as I have spares for anything that requires sacrificial surgery.
