Nyctosaurus Gracilis Duel
Build Notes
A Late Cretaceous period pterosaur that lived on the shores of the great inland sea in what is now the United State’s midwestern region. It had a ~2 meter wingspan and older adults had a large double crest.
I printed this at 1/15 scale on a Saturn 4 Ultra in Elegoo resin. I used my own simple wooden base, painted to depict a shallow sea far below instead of the rock base provided by the sculptor, and mounted the animals on metal rods. I chose coloration inspired by the extant Black Skimmer that is common along the Gulf of Mexico where I live.
