Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat
Build Notes
The Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat was the definitive version of the United States Navy’s primary carrier-based fighter during the critical early years of World War II. While it lacked the maneuverability of its main rival, the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M Zero, its rugged construction, heavy armor, and specialized team tactics allowed American pilots to hold the line during pivotal battles of Coral Sea, Midway, and Guadalcanal.
